Will Writing

For lots of reasons. ‘It’s too expensive’. ‘I’ll do it later’. ‘I need to think about it more, I’m not sure what I want’. ‘I can do it myself’.

If you think you might need a Will, we can tell you that you definitely do! Having a will in place helps to ensure that your wishes are met following your death. Think about:

  • What happens to my children, other dependants or pets if I am no longer here and who would I trust to care for them?
  • We are a blended family, who will my assets go to if I die?
  • I want someone specific to get sentimental and important items, how can I make sure this happens?

These questions, and more, can be answered in your Will so that you can rest easy knowing everyone and everything that matters to you, are taken care of in the way you would like.

If you choose not to have a Will, then someone else will make these decisions for you after you have died.

We totally get it. It is complex and can be daunting – especially when people are using words that might not mean much, beneficiaries, Trusts, probate, executors, guardianship – and many more to boot.

And why use a Will writer when you can do it yourself? Well, for the very reasons we have just said – it can be complex and daunting.

At Morrell Will Services, we are specialists. We are qualified. We understand the terminology.

But, equally as important, we want as many people as possible to have a company they can rely on to make sure they are fully informed, completely understand and are entirely comfortable with everything that goes into their Will.

When you contact us, we follow a set process and make sure that, every step of the way, you understand what is being done, and why.

Your Will starts with your estate – what you have, what you want to happen, and why.

It can get a bit personal (we talk about family and friends and your relationship with them, we need to understand who will be impacted by your will, who you trust and what role they have in your life).

After all, we want to ensure that your Will, does exactly as you intend it to.

We also need to make sure that you are in complete control of the decisions that are being made.

Your Will is about what YOU want, we need to be confident that this is the case and nobody else is influencing you, however well-meaning they seem.

Remember, your Will can be updated if your circumstances change, but we want your Will to be right for the time that it’s written, and we will keep in touch to make sure it stays relevant in the future.

We know these are not the conversations that most people want to have, even if they have already crossed their mind.

We also know it is vitally important that we do have them if you want to ensure your wishes are met.

And it’s never as straight forward as you think.

Getting this right is a huge responsibility, and one that we don’t underestimate.

For those reasons, we are here, with a cup of tea and a wealth of knowledge, to help you do what is needed as quickly and easily as is possible.

Once it is written, we can make sure it is safely stored – giving you complete peace of mind.

You can choose a free 30-min

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it totally up to me to put what I want in my Will?

Yes! Your will is about YOU and what you want. However, you don’t know what you don’t know, which is where we come in. We know what you need to think about, the right questions to ask, and how your wishes should be phrased so that, when the time comes, they are clear, can’t be disputed, and what you wanted to happen, happens.

How much will my Will cost?

We have a ‘starting from’ price list because not all Wills are the same. Some people want a really basic Will, others want something more complicated. After our initial consultation you will know what you will be expected to pay based on what you have told us. And there is nothing to pay until you know you definitely want to go ahead. At this point, you pay your deposit and we take your instructions and start drafting your Will. As an Approved Code Member, all of our services are covered by the Chartered Institute of Trading Standards, offering strong consumer protection.
